Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Intelsat LLC herein requests a grant of Special Temporary Authority from May 4 to May 14, 2006 to conduct certain tests, demonstrations and experiments described below during the Global Traffic Meeting (GTM) using a 1.2 meter Ku-Band antenna in conjunction with Intelsat Clarksburg E980510 earth station and the Intelsat 905 satellite at 335.5°E. The tests need to begin on that date in order to take advantage of available satellite time and the GTM duration.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Use of a test earth station to run a live demonstation over the iDirect platform during the GTM show in Washington, DC to showcase various Network Broadband services.
