Counting previously filed STAs, this is the third time the applicant has requested nationwide operations. Previous requests were denied because the Office of Engineering and Technology could see no reason that the experiment could not be limited geographically. We are predisposed to believe the same thing with the current application. 2. We are concerned that since the airborne tests will have a large terrestrial footprint that it will be difficult for the applicant to determine all PCS providers that could be potentially affected by the proposed tests. The applicant must coordinate with all potentially affected PCS providers. If the experiment is geographically limited to the smallest area necessary, this task becomes much simpler. 3. Does the applicant have a limited number of suggested sites for the higher power ground tests? This also reflects the need to coordinate with PCS licensees. We wish to see your comments on all three items. The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of September 29, 2006 may result in application dismissal pursuant to Section 5.67 and forfeiture of the filing fee pursuant to Section 1.1108.
