                                  REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY

Harris Corporation ("Harris") hereby requests short term experimental Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to
transmit in select UHF frequency bands for a radio device military exercise demonstration with United States
Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to be held at the Muscatatuck, IN Training Center from July 11,
2016 to July 15, 2016.

Harris is requesting STA authority for the following UHF frequencies:
286.4 MHz and 362.25 MHz.1

Harris is also requesting STA authority to operate on two additional UHF frequencies:
300.375 MHz and 400 MHz. If the Commission is unable to grant these additional frequencies Harris
asks that it be allowed to substitute replacement frequencies in the UHF frequency range of 265-425
MHz.
Owing to the minimal transmit power which will be utilized as well as the sporadic frequency usage throughout
the week of 7/11 to 7/15, Harris believes there will be no frequency interference concerns. However, Harris
acknowledges that all transmissions will be on a non-interference basis and will adhere to any conditions placed
on the Special Temporary Authorization.
Because the equipment is technically incapable of providing station identification, Harris respectfully requests a
waiver of the station identification provisions of Section 5.115 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 5.115.
All network traffic will be simulated traffic only, solely for evaluation purposes and not for the purpose of
providing network data communications services to user stations.

The stop buzzer contact is Gerhard Schulz at Harris, tel: (202) 603-6849, e-mail: gschulz@harris.com

1 These frequencies were previously granted to Harris under other experimental authorization (see WF2XIB & WJ9XMS).
