Subject:
New Regular Exp. License for GCA (Ground Control Approach) radar at Foxfield, Lancaster, CA

Dear OET:

We are requesting a regular experimental license to continue the same testing we have been doing under
our previous STA license: Call Sign WI9XNU (File # 0456—EX—ST—2015, Confirmation # EL125014).
Testing our GCA (Ground Approach Radar) sensors for various customers are a big part of our business
and subsequently a vital need remains to access an additional test sight. The Foxfield testing areais ideal
when our other test sites (Van Nuys Airport & 7821 Orion Ave., Van Nuys, Ca) cannot accommodate all
systems or allow overlapping test schedules that sometimes occur.
We are fully aware that the use of IFF testing is not authorized for this test site and also that any testing
needs to be coordinated with the FAA Western Area Frequency Coordinator prior to any radiating. Harris
will honor all conditions that may be necessary to prevent interference with any existing equipment and
are willing to schedule the hours of operation to take place during times of least air traffic in the vicinity.

Harris Corporation requests the same frequency operation, which are:

9025 MHz, 9080 MHz, 9100 MHz & 9125 MHz

(520W Output power, 914541.34W ERP power, 36.60 dBi antenna gain)

In conclusion, we are anxious to continue our testing and will standby to answer any questions you may
have.

Sincerely,

Proolho
