Exhibit 1 This license will cover the development, testing and demonstration of experimental and prototype equipment for use in the Part 101 fixed microwave services. It will also cover the demonstration of equipment at customer locations and at trade shows. Hughes Network Systems is a manufacturer of such equipment. The applicant seeks this authorization in order to permit operation throughout the United States on the specified frequencies. Applicant will coordinate with existing Part 101 licensees in order to avoid interference. The licensee currently holds an experimental license for related purposes, KA2XQZ, but that license specifies frequencies around 1 and 2 GHz under Parts 22, 24 and 90.
