Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant seeks an STA to conduct experimental tests with the Ku-Band Tracking Radar (KTR) by Technovative Applications along with Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and the GTRI designed Angry Kitten. A majority of the tests will have a fixed emitter and fixed receiver site and always located within the Cobb County Research Facility area with potential to mount receivers on a mobile platform. Test waveforms will include FSK, PSK, FM, and AM type modulations with bandwidths up to 500 MHz in the K-band (one distinct carrier frequency). Data measured by the SDRs and/or the Angry Kitten will be used to evaluate Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) algorithms and transmitter characteristics.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The series of experiments at Cobb County Research Facility are used to diagnose, characterize, and catalog data collected for verification of system performance in an open environment. that is nearly impossible to reproduce with Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) tests performed in a lab environment.
