Request for Info - STA File #0263-EX-ST-2006
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Message:

Demo schedule:

Monday 4/24- Thursday 4/27, NAB Las Vegas, Nevada
Monday 5/1 Washington DC area, specific location is TBD
Tuesday 5/2 Andrew AFB Maryland
Tuesday 5/9- Wednesday 5/10, Scott AFB, Illinois
Friday 5/12 Washington DC area, specific location is TBD

Note the NAB is doubtful as we have very little time to test the system over the satellite.
Because we are anticipating requests for additional demonstrations with in the US, the less
restrictions we have the more flexible we can be to support future demonstrations.

We can operate on AMC 9 from 14.2 – 14.5 GHz as we are currently using bandwidth on
transponder 13, 14.260-14.264 GHz.

iDirect is a TDMA VSAT equipment manufacture with products similar to HNS and Gilat.
Their networks typically include a large number of small remotes located all over the country
communicating with a larger hub via TDMA. Their modem at the remote can also operate in a
FDMA mode which is how we plan to use it to communicate with our 2.4m earth station in
Duluth, Georgia. However we would like to demonstrate the TDMA capabilities which would
require communicating to a hub with the iDirect system which we do not have. Thus we are
looking for a service provider who is operating a network in the US using iDirect equipment.
