Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Pursuant to Section 5.3(d) and (f) and Section 5.61 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 5.3(d), (f), 5.61 (2012), General Dynamics C4 Systems (GD C4S), hereby respectfully requests special temporary authority (STA) from May 8th, 2014 through July 8th, 2014 to operate in the 698-716/728-746 MHz bands for the purpose of demonstrating prototype broadband Long-Term Evolution (LTE) equipment to base personnel at NSWC Crane in Crane, Indiana.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Demonstration of mobile broadband wireless technologies, in the form of LTE. Demonstration of mobile broadband wireless technologies, in the form of LTE. Operation will be constrainted to an area of 10km around an existing tower (38deg5250.41”N 86deg50’16.95”W) located on the base. The STA is requested for the duration of 2 months in order to perform a initial basic demonstration followed by subsequent application testing. The STA will serve the public interest by providing naval personnel with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the benefits and capabilities of LTE.
