It allows continued operation of equipment while waiting for granting of a full experimental license (FCC file number 5320 EXPL96, requested on 15 May 1996. The experimental work, using offered time on a Spacenet satellite with transmission over up and down links between several USAT terminals, supports research and development of modern communication systems, signals (waveforms) and techniques, in particular DAMA networks in a spread spectrum system. The waveforms are direct spread spectrum transmission of pseudorandom data sequences for performance measurement, and are described more fully in the license application. A check in the amount of forty—five dollars ($45.00) to cover the cost of the filing fee is included with this transmittal.
