                                                            Exhibit

Fairfield Industries, Inc. hereby requests modification
of its experimental license so as to add the 24 frequencies listed
below. The frequencies used for Fairfield‘s sensitive telemetry
are increasingly subject to interference from other users, in
particular Watercom which operates an automated nmaritinmne
telecommunications system in the 216—220 MHz band. Moreover, the
Commission recently revised its Rules so as to permit AMTS
operations throughout the United States. See First Report and
Order in General Docket No. 88—371, FCC 91—18, —released
January 25, 1991. Hence, it is to be expected that interference
will not decline in the band, but rather will likely increase.

The operational area specified is for the Continental
United States with primary focus on the Louisiana Gulf Coast from
Sabine Pass on the west to New Orleans on the east. The equipment
would be utilized both on—and off—shore; on—shore utilization will
be in remote marshes and swamps of Louisiana.

In order to obviate the interference problem Fairfielda
submits that good cause exists for authorizing use of frequencies
referenced below on the same non—interfering basis as those
authorized previously. In all other respects the operational
parameters for Fairfield‘s existing license (including operation
of the telecommand units on the frequencies 217.33 and 218 .65 MHz)
will remain unchanged.
