                                                        Exhibit

Fairfield Industries, Inc. ("Fairfield") hereby requests
modification of its experimental license so as to add the
frequencies listed below. Fairfield has determined that the
frequencies it is authorized to use below 216 MHz, i.e. 215.53 —
215.99 MHz (see Exhibit B), are not suitable in certain areas
along the Gulf Coast. This is due to the presence of Television
Channel 13 stations, signals from which can be picked up by
Fairfield‘s highly sensitive receiving equipment, a circumstance
which in turn precludes use of the below — 216 MHz frequencies
for recording Fairfield‘s geophysical data. In order to
obviate this problem, while still allowing for the increased
flexibility presented by the availability of additional
frequencies (as detailed in its original application), Fairfield
submits that good cause exists for authorizing use of the
frequencies listed below on the same non—interference basis as
those authorized previously. In all other respects the
operational parameters specified in Fairfield‘s license for this
station remains unchanged.
