Question 7: Purpose of Experiment

a. The radar will be demonstrated to potential customers including US Government and US
Military officials.
The ELM-2105 system is a pulse-doppler radar with a bandwidth of 200 MHz and center
frequency of 10.4 GHz. Transmission power is 10 Watt with a 10% duty cycle (1 Watt avg.
power).
b. The radar is designed to detect ground targets at 8 km for a person and up to 15 km for a
vehicle.
c. The ranges described above are threshold criteria for the customer. Successful test may result
in a contract award.
