Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
DroneShield has been asked by the Navy to participate in the Naval Special Warfare Commands TRIDENT SPECTRE exercise, including field trials for RF-emitting counter-Unmanned Aerial System (c-UAS) disruptors. This STA application covers these RF-emitting systems for the duration (26 Apr to 07 May 2021) and location (Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, VA) of the Navys TRIDENT SPECTRE event.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  DroneShield requests STA for two products whose purpose and emissions are similar: DroneGun MKIII, a pistol-style C-UAS RF disruptor; and DroneSentry-X, which in addition to passive detection also offers C-UAS RF disruption. The products will be field-tested as part of the TRIDENT SPECTRE exercises so the Navy can validate their performance against UAS.
