Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Comtech seeks a modification of the experimental STA as recently extended under Call Sign WR9XCI for testing and development of a Next Generation Troposcatter system. This request only proposes to increase the authorized radius from 241km to 425km and to change the authorized emission designator from 14M0G1D to 25M0G1D. No other changes are requested. See Exhibit 1.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Comtech seeks a modification of the experimental STA as recently extended under Call Sign WR9XCI for testing and development of a Next Generation Troposcatter system. This request only proposes to increase the authorized radius from 241km to 425km and to change the authorized emission designator from 14M0G1D to 25M0G1D. No other changes are requested. See Exhibit 1.
