                                                            File No. 0263-EX-ST-2011

                                         EXHIBIT I
                                    STA Extension Request

Comtech Systems, Inc. ("Comtech") hereby submits this request for an extension of Special
Temporary Authority ("STA") issued under Call Sign WE9XID (File No. 0467-EX-ST-2010).
The existing authorization is set to expire on April 21, 2011. Owing to unforeseen delays, testing
pursuant to the experimental authorization continues, and will extend beyond the April 21, 2011
expiration date. Therefore, Comtech hereby seeks an additional, final six month period to
continue testing of its Transportable Fast Link Antenna ("TFLA") to demonstrate to the United
States Marine Corp. that the TFLA system meets the technical specifications as contained within
its contract with the US Marine Corp.

Comtech submits that a grant of this request for an extension of STA is necessary and in the
public interest because it will because it will allow Comtech to finalize its order with, and allow
deployment by, the United States Marine Corp., thus advancing national security efforts.

Because the equipment is technically incapable of providing station identification, Comtech
respectfully requests a waiver of the station identification provisions of Section 5.115 of the
Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 5.115.

Comtech acknowledges that an additional FCC grant of this STA extension is deemed temporary
in nature. Comtech also acknowledges that it will continue to adhere to the Special Conditions as
authorized under the original STA.

For the foregoing reason, Comtech hereby requests an extension of STA until October 21, 2011.

As referenced in the original STA request, The stop buzzer contact for this experiment is Paul
Kelly at Comtech, tel: (407) 854-1950 ext. 3050, mobile: (321) 948-4315, e-mail:
