Description of test.

This is for the feasibility evaluation of a Carrier Current System. This is both a test of the
system architecture and a set up for evaluating the compliance profiles of the systems.
Per the requirements as stated in Part 15.31 of the rules, we must evaluate these systems
in 3 typical set ups, which includes on site testing at typical installations.

The various installations should provide us with several locations in which to perform
and troubleshoot the EMI profiles of these systems in preparation of eventually
performing a full compliance test on these systems in accordance with the Part 15 rules.

The trial will consist of no more the 14 complete system set ups with pole mounted router
and several end user nodes in each location.

A qualified 3rd part vendor who specializes in the installation of such systems will install
the system.

Cisco will be working with the 3rd party vendor, their outside contractor who is
responsible for the on site compliance testing as well as hopefully working the local cable
company, local telecom provider, and area amateur radio operators to help characterize
any unwanted emissions from these systems.

The devices will operate specifically between 2.46 – 38 MHz and we will software
program out the amateur frequency bands for our testing purposes to reduce chance of
interference.

The devices themselves will operate around –48dBm

We understand that these systems operate under a non-interference basis and are prepared
to trouble shoot any and all problems.
