The short answer is yes. For the development
phase, the design must be functional and
operational. As development continues to progress
to the point where reliable functionality is
achieved, testing to Part 18 requirements will be
performed to determine if the unit meets those
requirements. If not, changes to that portion of
the system will be made to bring the unit into
compliance and CardioMEMS will make those records
available to the FCC if they desire, subject to confidentiality. Before any marketing takes place,
verification of compliance with the provisions of Part 18 will be obtained.
