College of Engineering Aerospace Engineering Department May 25th, 2018 Dear Mr. Serafini, Cal Poly would like to request the IRVINE01 application amendment be expedited for FCC review. IRVINE01 was originally scheduled to launch on an Indian PSLV in 2017. However due to lengthy launch delays and with no concrete launch date in 2018, IRVINE01 was presented an opportunity to launch on the upcoming Rocket Lab Electron Flight #3. The launch opportunity was only finalized last Friday May 17, 2018, and the IRVINE01 Team is working as quickly as possible to provide the updated information to US Government agencies. IRVINE01 is also working with NOAA to update our license and that is progressing as planned. The current launch date for Rocket Lab Flight #3 is set for June 22 (US time). The IRVINE01 Team deeply apologizes for this last minute request and hopes the FCC can work with us to amend our current license in time for launch.
