Subject: Request for Info - File #0042-EX-CN-2016
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Message:

FCC IB/SD has additional questions:

Could the applicant provide more detail information about the periodic beacon transmission?

Why is there a need to have a periodic beacon?

Is it used initially by the satellite so that the earth station can find the satellite?

Regardless of the periodic beacon, the minimum elevation angle should be 5 degrees so we will need to
have that in the API filing.

DOWNLIN beam, the minimum elevation angle is blank. We will assume this was unintentional. Please
confirm and let us know the min elevation angle value.

The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced
application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of March 03, 2017 may result in
application dismissal pursuant to Section 5.67 and forfeiture of the filing fee pursuant to Section 1.1108.
