Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant is a television microwave and communications equipment rental company which provides video, audio and communications for broadcast, satellite broadcast and cablecast of sporting and other events. Applicant has certain LTTS, BAS and private wireless licenses for this purpose. However, the spectrum demands at sports events, and the limited LTTS/BAS spectrum for these events makes it necessary to make coordinated, temporary use of additional channels in the 1.4 - 1.5 GHz band and UHF TV channels . Such is necessary to have sufficient video and communications coverage city-wide for a 26km marathon, while allowing normal ENG use of the BAS spectrum at the same time along the course. Applicant has coordinated all spectrum use requested herein with AFTRCC, which coordinates flight test telemetry operations on the subject channels. 1435-1500 MHz will be airborne at maximum 3000 AGL.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Provide portable video, audio and logistics communications at the New York City Marathon televised sports event.
