Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies in the range of 1439 to 1520 and 2364 to 2391 MHz to supplement those previously requested for use at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Jacksonville, FL These frequencies were not included in the previous request as they were awaiting AFTRCC coordination that has now been obtained. The purpose of this request is to provide video coverage and support at the convention for the period of August 1, 2020 through August 30, 2020 (including setup and to allow for some date flexibility due to the current pandemic). Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
