       Hi Jim DiMatteo,

From your email dates 02/28/17 at 11:57 AM, required date is changed
       from April 9—17, 2017 to April 11—16,2017.
For April 11—16, no Mexican coordination is required.

       Frequency engineering is complete.

Air show is approved and assigned following frequencies at San Diego
       Bay, CA, lat long is 32 42 17.4N/117 09 56.2W) on April 11—16, 2017:

Special Temporary Authorization from FCC.
For more info to apply for FCC STA:
—Please fill out Form 602 (sometimes FCC calls it 601) from FCC online.
Here is the link to the form:

—The radio service code is: AF
—The station class is FAC
—The power (ERP) should be the output power of the VHF radio. Antenna
gain is zero (0).
Hope FCC not asking ERP along a given radial, since the antenna is non—
directional. Make sure the application states it is for a communications
radio, not a Navaids.
—Antenna elevation is the height of the antenna above Mean Sea Level (in
meters). Antenna height is the height of the antenna above the ground (in
meters).
— If this doesn‘t help, please contact the FCC‘s Help Desk, at 1—888—225—

—They should be able to help you complete the form. Just tell them you
are trying to get an STA for an Airshow.
—In box 3a), please select S for Special Temporary
Authorization (STA).

Thank you.

17, 2017 (submitted to Headquarters)

Hi Phuong,
Thanks for the email. I forgot about the 6 day thing with Mexico. No problem to
reduce it, can we make the dates April 11—16, 20172 That way it is 6 days. We
won‘t need it before then as we won‘t be flying in the track area until probably
Wednesday or Thursday. It is a non—Fed event. I understand we will be getting
different freqs than Vegas, no problem at all.

Thank you,

Jim

Hi Jim, I submitted 4 frequencies to Headquarters today. The frequencies need to send
to Mexico for Mexican approval because required dates are more than 6 days.
Just let you know Headquarters approve power up to 5W only.
And I assume this is Non—Fed event.
It will take at least couple weeks for Mexican coordination. 1 will let you know if I have
any progress.
Please be advised the frequencies this time at San Diego Bay, they are not the same as
frequencies last year at Las Vegas.
Thank you. Phuong.

Hello Phuong,

I hope you are doing well.

I have attached the frequency request for the Red Bull Air Race we will be having
in San Diego Bay in April. I am assuming this goes to you as well. Can you let
me know if you are not the one that this is supposed to go to? Thank you and
please let me know if you have any questions. All of the equipment is the same as
last year.

VR,

Jim DiMatteo
