Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies 2034.5, 2040.5, 2052.5, 2058.5, 2070.5, 2076.5 and 2088.5 MHz as well as 2364, 2373, 2382 and 2391 (AFTRCC coordination has been obtained for use of the latter 4 frequencies). The purpose of this request is to provide video coverage of the NHL Stadium Series hockey event at Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, MD on March 3, 2018 (requested dates cover setup and testing). The frequencies will be used to test a new video capture system at National Hockey League events as well as other normal video coverage. It is recognized that some of these frequencies are in the Broadcast Auxiliary Services Band; therefore, the local SBE frequency coordinators will be notified prior to use. The units will operate only inside the venue with a maximum ERP of 50 mW. The test cameras will be located 1-2 meters above the ice and be capable of capturing video both on the ice as well as in the adjacent stands to enhance crowd safety. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
