Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Bandspeed, Inc is in the process of developing an 802.11abg wireless network architecture. The company will be testing and demonstrating IEEE Standard 802.11abg RF components (ISM 2.45GHz and UNII 5.15-5.35 GHz and 5.725-5.825 GHz) in a multiple unit dwelling (MUD) in Austin Texas. The network architecture as well as special automatic configuration and RF management features need to be tested and validated in a realistic environment. Performance metrics will be obtained and used for performance tuning.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Testing and demonstrating 802-11 abg wireless network architecture. Bandspeed, Inc is in the process of developing an 802.11abg wireless network architecture. The company will be testing and demonstrating IEEE Standard 802.11abg RF components (ISM 2.45GHz and UNII 5.15-5.35 GHz and 5.725-5.825 GHz) in a multiple unit dwelling (MUD) in Austin Texas. All RF devices will be indoors and will have intentional radiators with less than 17dBm transmit power at the antenna port. All antennas are omnidirectional with antenna gain less than 6dBi.
