Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
BNSF Railway is requesting to test transducer devices for avalanche detection purposes to improve rail safety. The devices are expected to be able to detect avalanche activity and wireless relay event information. Because the current STA was granted in April, 2018, BNSF seeks extension to continue testing during the winter of 2018-2019.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The purpose is to determine the effectiveness of the devices.The radios are associate with transducer devices that will be used to monitor for avalanche activity.
