Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Before finalizing the equipment certification testing for a newly developed radar sensor to be approved under the provision of FCC Part 90, it is required that the pre-production version of these sensors be tested as it will be deployed in an actual production installation. The performance of these sensors is likely to be sensitive to the particulars of the installation, making it necessary to test in an actual deployment before finalizing the hardware specifications. Our distribution partner in the USA (Flying Tee, Jenks, OK) has agreed to make available their site and participate in these tests, providing that we can adhere to the time window that they can make available for these tests. To this end, we want to apply for an STA to initiate the experiment by no later than 1 September 2018. * In addition, we want to apply for an extension to include a second site in Orlando, Florida. This is another partner site (Leadbetter Golf Academy) that is completely different to the one at Jenks (open grass area as opposed to tiered hitting bay building). The system implementation will be sufficiently different to require experimental testing. They will be collaborating with us to test and improve our system before it can be deployed as a commercial product.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Alphawave Golf is developing a radar-based golf ball tracking system that will be deployed as a fixed installation at golf driving ranges in the USA. The radar sensor is mounted in a fixed location. , and measures and tracks the 3D locations of golf balls moving within its field of view. This will be the first pre-production installation and will be located at a site of our USA development and distribution partner (Flying Tee, Jenks, OK). The goal will be to integrate our radar sensors with their client-facing front-end software and display hardware to iterate towards a mature product offering. The principle purpose of this testing will be to confirm that the frequency bandwidth and power specification of the sensors is sufficient, and that we can conclude the equipment certification process with the sensors configured as is. * The above also applies to the requested extension site of the Leadbetter Golf Academy in Orlando, Florida.
