Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
A synthetic aperture radar system is to be included as part of NASA experimental program MIZOPEX which will examine marginal ice zones in the arctic. The radar must be tested at NASA AMES research facility in California before being deployed. This STA covers testing of the radar before deployment.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Radar testing This grant will cover testing and vetting of synthetic aperture radar system in airspace surrounding NASA AMES research facility before beyond deployed to the Arctic Ocean. The testing is planned for a period of no more than four weeks and will consist of operating the radar to obtain images of the ground.
