Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
ARTEMIS is working as a subcontractor to develop a synthetic aperture radar system for the Office of Naval Researchs Compact Modular Sensor Suite (CMSS) program. The STA will enable ARTEMIS to fully test and demonstrate the system for the customer.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Radar testing As part of the Office of Naval Researchs Compact Modular Sensor Suite, the ARTEMIS X-01 SAR system is used for wide-area detection, classification, localization and tracking of surface and near-surface drifting / oscillating mines. The STA is for testing and demonstration before acceptance of the system by the government.
