AIRNET COMMUNICATIONS, CORP.

1999-02-05ELS_2952

     hibit 1

By this application, AirNet Communications Corporation
("AirNet") seeks to expand the frequencies associated with its
experimental license consistent with the Commission‘s grant of
Special Temporary Authority (FCC File No. S$—2084—EX—95, granted
September 1, 1995). In particular AirNet seeks to use the
frequencies: $90—915 MHz and 935—960 MHz.

AirNet also seeks to increase the authorized power
associated with Station KM2XOQ. Currently AirNet is authorized
not to exceed 10 watts ERP. Under its experimental testing
program, AirNet has determined that its current 10 watt ERP
limitation is insufficient to perform "real world" propagation
analysis and associated equipment testing. Therefore, AirNet
requests the Commission increase its authorized transmitter power
to 10 watts per channel and its ERP to 100 watts per channel.
The Commission has authorized experimental licensees to use
similar power levels in the past. See e.qg., Station KF2XJB
{authorized at 100 watts ERP); see also Station KG2XLO
{authorized at 500 watts ERP).
