ATTN.: Microwave Branch 3G Wireless, LLC hereby requests Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate in the UHF Band pursuant to Section 21.25 of the Commission’s Rules. 3G Wireless, LLC requests that the Commission grant them temporary authority to operate within the UHF band on the frequencies centered on 478.6000MHz, 478.6625MHz, 478.7125MHz, 478.7750MHz, 478.8250MHz, 488.5125MHz, 488.5875MHz, 488.6125MHz, 488.6875MHz, 488.7125MHz, 488.7625MHz, 488.8250MHz, 488.9125MHz, 488.9625MHz, 493.5125MHz, 493.5875MHz, 493.6125MHz, 493.6875MHz, 493.7125MHz and 493.7625MHz with a 12.5KHz bandwidth from October 19, 2017 through October 22, 2017. As explained below, 3G Wireless, LLC is filing an STA request for the Live Television Transmission of Red Bull’s “Straight Rhythm” Motocross event at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California. 3G Wireless, LLC submits that there are extraordinary circumstances warranting a grant of the STA request. Red Bull Media has contracted 3G Wireless, LLC to provide the necessary UHF communication systems for the Live Transmission of this Event. Due to the extreme frequency congestion in the Pomona area, coupled with the added congestion from traditional Television and News coverage of area special events, 3G Wireless requests the use of channels in the 450MHz Band. 3G Wireless, LLC certifies that the operation of the requested channels for the purposes specified herein will not cause interference to any established stations. Grant of the instant request for STA in the UHF band would serve the public interest by enabling 3G Wireless, LLC to supply the requested remote RF communication coverage for this event. The proposed service would enhance coverage of the event by providing on the spot communications from mobile locations that would not otherwise be available to the Production Company.
