Universal Space Network (USN) requests an STA to allow Chandrayaan-2 science data collection at its Hawaiian earth station. This authority will allow USN to evaluate the usefulness of collection of data from the Hawaiian station. If the tests are successful USN will apply for further authorizations to augment India's ability to explore the lunar polar region which is needed by the NASA Artemis program in preparation for near future US/Japanese lunar base.
