The applications of DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (DIRECTV) for special temporary authority, IBFS File
Nos. SAT—STA—20150810—00056 and SAT—STA—20150810—00057, ARE GRANTED. Accordingly,

space) and 20198.5 MHz and 20199.55 MHz (space—to—Earth) frequency bands, necessary to drift the
DIRECTV 15 Fixed—Satellite Service space station (Call Sign $2930) and the RB—2 Broadcasting Satellite
Service space station (Call Sign $2712) from the 66.8 W.L. orbital location to the 102.75° W.L. orbital
location. Operations under this authorization are subject to the terms, conditions, and technical
specifications set forth in DIRECTV‘s applications and the Federal Communications Commission‘s rules,
and are subject to the conditions set forth below.

        1. All operations under this grant of special temporary authority must be on an unprotected
and non—harmful interference basis. DIRECTV must not cause harmful interference to, and shall not
claim protection from interference caused to it by, any other lawfully operating radio communication
system. In the event of any harmful interference as a result of operations under this grant of special
temporary authority, DIRECTV must cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference
and must immediately inform the Commission, in writing, of such an event.

2s DIRECTV must coordinate operations of DIRECTV 15 and RB—2 with existing
geostationary space stations to ensure that no unacceptable interference results during the drift to the
102.75° W.L. orbital locations.

         3. DIRECTV 15‘s and RB—2‘s operations during the drift from 66.8° W.L. to 102.75° W.L.
shall not include the provision of commercial services.

         4. DIRECTV must operate only the TT&C frequencies authorized for DIRECTV 15 and
RB—2 during the space station‘s drift from the 66.8° W.L. orbital location to the 102.75° W.L. orbital
location.

        8. DIRECTV must notify the Chief of the Satellite Division, International Bureau, Federal
Communications Commission, in writing, on the date that DIRECTV 15 and RB—2 arrive at the 102.75°
W.L. orbital location and begin operations.

        6. This grant is issued pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated
authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.261, and is effective upon release.

                         Dear Ms. Dortch:

DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC ("DIRECTV"), by counsel, requests grant of Special
Temporary Authority ("STA") for an additional 30 days, beginning August 12,
2015, to drift the DIRECTV 15 satellite (call sign $2930) along with the DIRECTV
RB—2 payload (call sign $2712) from the 66.8° W.L. orbital location, where it
completed in—orbit testing ("IOT") on July 20, 2015, to its licensed orbital location
                         at 102.75° W.L.‘
DIRECTV estimates that the satellite will arrive at 102.75° W.L. on or about
August 25. During the period covered by this STA extension, DIRECTV will use
29502.5 and 29505.9 MHz for its command uplinks and 20198.5 and 20199.55
MHz for its telemetry downlinks. DIRECTV will coordinate with potentially
affected satellite operators in accordance with industry practice, and will operate on
a non—interference basis during this migration.

Grant of this STA request will serve the public interest by allowing DIRECTV to
relocate the DIRECTV 15/RB—2 satellite so that it can begin providing service to
millions of DIRECTV subscribers from the satellite‘s licensed orbital location.
Accordingly, DIRECTV requests the expeditious grant of this extension request.
