(call sign S2132), File No. SAT-MOD-20030123-00045, be amended to reflect the de facto transfer of control of The DIRECTV Group, Inc. (“DIRECTV Group”) (formerly, Hughes Electronics Corporation3) from General Motors Corporation to The News Corporation Limited (“News C ~ r p . ” )and , ~ the change in the ap licant’s name from Hughes Network Systems, Inc. to DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC.P ’ 47 C.F.R. Q 1.65. ’ General Motors Corp., Hughes Electronics Corp., and The News Corp. Ltd., Supplemental Order, 19 FCC Rcd. 6309 (Int’l Bur. 2004). On March 16,2004, Hughes Electronics Corporation changed its name to The DIRECTV Group, Inc. See Letter from William M. Wiltshire and Michael D. The Commission has found that News Corp. has a de facto controlling interest over DIRECTV Group and its subsidiaries, including DIRECTV Enterprises, for purposes of the Communications Act of 1934.
