Amendment Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Effective Date: 10/02/2012 Nature of Service: Mobile Satellite Service See IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20111021-00207 for a description of the action taken. SAT-MOD-20111021-00207 E S2103 ORBCOMM License Corp. Modification 10/02/2012 - 04/30/2025 Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Effective Date: 10/02/2012 Nature of Service: Mobile Satellite Service On October 2, 2012, the Satellite Division granted in part, with conditions, the application of Orbcomm License Corp. to modify its authorization for a non-voice, non-geostationary mobile satellite service (Little LEO) system. The Satellite Division granted authority to the extent of modifying the target orbital inclination of one satellite from 51.6 degrees to 51.7 degrees, and specifying an additional feeder link centered at the 150.025 MHz for that satellite. In addition, in light of the imminent launch of the satellite, the Satellite Division partially waived the fourth milestone in the Orbcomm Next Generation License, which requires Orbcomm to complete construction of and launch the first two next-generation satellites. The waiver is limited to extending authority to launch and operate with respect to the one satellite proposed for imminent launch. The Satellite Division deferred action on all other aspects of the pending modification application, as amended. This grant was without prejudice to action on remaining portions of the amended modification application, including Orbcomm's request to extend the fourth milestone for six months or deem it satisfied by the launch of a single satellite. SAT-STA-20120917-00151 E S2422 Intelsat License LLC Special Temporary Authority Withdrawn Effective Date: 10/01/2012 SAT-STA-20120927-00157 E S2110 Iridium Constellation LLC Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 10/04/2012 On October 4, 2012, the Satellite Division granted special temporary authority to Iridium Constellation LLC, for a period of 60 days, to continue to co-locate one of its spare in-orbit satellites with another satellite in its orbital constellation. SAT-STA-20120928-00162 E S2232 EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 10/03/2012 On October 3, 2012, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority, for a period of 30 days, to EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation to continue to provide Direct Broadcast Satellite service via EchoStar 6 at 76.95º W.L. using the 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands. EchoStar is also authorized to continue to operate on-station telemetry, tracking, and command for EchoStar 6 at 76.95º W.L. using center frequencies of 12.203 GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.204 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 17.305 GHz (Earth-to-space).
