Nature of Service:       Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service


On February 24, 2012, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of SES Americom, Inc. to modify the authorization for its
AMC-5 space station to specify operations at the 80.90º W.L. orbital location, rather than at its previously authorized location at 79.10º W.L.
SES Americom is authorized to provide fixed-satellite service, including direct-to-home services, in the 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and
14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, in accordance with International Telecommunication Union filings of the Administration of
Argentina. In addition, SES is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations necessary to maintain AMC-5 at 80.90º
W.L. using center frequencies located at 14.001 GHz (telecommand) and 11.701 and 11.702 GHz (telemetry).

On February 24, 2012, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of SES Americom, Inc. to modify the authorization for its
AMC-2 space station to specify operations at the 4.98° E.L. orbital location, rather than at its previously authorized location of 78.95° W.L. SES
Americom is authorized to provide fixed-satellite service, including direct-to-home service, using the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth),
5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. SES Americom is also
authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking and telecommand operations using the 6423.5 MHz (Earth-to-space; horizontal polarization), 3700.5
MHz and 4199.5 MHz (space-to-Earth; vertical polarization), and 12198.0 MHz (space-to-Earth; horizontal polarization). In addition, the
Satellite Division granted SES Americom's request to extend the license term of AMC-2 through May 31, 2016.

The Satellite Division has determined that DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC has met the Contract Execution and Critical Design Review
milestones associated with its authorization (Call Sign S2711) and may reduce the bond amount by $1,500,000, as provided in the
Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking, IB Docket No. 02-34, 18 FCC Rcd 10760 (2003); Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and
Policies, First Order on Reconsideration and Fifth Report and Order, IB Docket No. 02- 34, 19 FCC Rcd 12637 (2004), 47 C.F.R. §
25.165(d). Accordingly, DIRECTV may reduce its bond to a value of $1,500,000.
