Launch and Operating Authority

Intelsat License LLC seeks authority to construct, launch and operate the Intelsat 22 space station at the 72.1º E.L. orbital location. Specifically,
Intelsat seeks authority to operate Intelsat 22 at 72.1º E.L. in the 3625-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5850-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.45-11.7
GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.25-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Intelsat also seeks authority for
telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations necessary to maintain Intelsat 22 at the 72.1º E.L. orbital location using the center frequencies of
4197.25/4198.25 MHz or 4197.75/4198.75 MHz, 5850.5 MHz, and 6424.5 MHz. Intelsat states that Intelsat 22 is a replacement satellite for the
Intelsat 4 satellite (Call Sign S2461) in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth),
12.25-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Intelsat states that it will be adding new frequencies at
3625-3700 MHz and 5850-5925 MHz that were not previously used by Intelsat at the 72.1º E.L. orbital location. Intelsat seeks waivers of
Sections 25.210(i)(1) and 25.211(a) of the Commission’s rules in connection with its requests. The satellite is also capable of operating in the
292.835-317.33 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 243.52-268.10 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands. Intelsat does not seek operational authority for
this UHF payload.

Special Temporary Authority

Intelsat License LLC requests special temporary authority, for a period of 180 days, to continue to operate telemetry, tracking, and telecommand
operations with the Intelsat 706 space station necessary to maintain Intelsat 706 at 72.0º E.L., using the following frequencies: 6173.7 MHz and
6176.3 MHz (left-hand circular polarization/Earth-to-space); 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz, 3952.5 MHz, and 3952.0 MHz (right-hand circular
polarization/space-to-Earth). Additionally, Intelsat seeks authority to continue to provide fixed-satellite service while located at the 72.0º E.L.
orbital location on a temporary basis using the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10.95-11.2 GHz
(space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.70 GHz, (space-to-Earth), 12.50-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands.
