On November 16, 2011, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to EchoStar Corporation to conduct telemetry,
tracking, and control in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands necessary to continue to
maintain the EchoStar 3 satellite as an in-orbit spare at the 61.45º W.L. orbital location for a period of 180 days.
