Nature of Service:        Fixed Satellite Service


On July 26, 2011, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of Intelsat License LLC for authority to construct, launch, and
operate a C-/Ku-band geostationary orbit space station, to be known at Intelsat-18, at the 180º E.L. orbital location. Accordingly, Intelsat is
authorized to operate the Intelsat-18 space station at the 180º E.L. orbital location to provide fixed-satellite service in the 3700-4200 MHz
(space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to Space), 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.70 GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.25-12.50 GHz
(space-to-Earth), 12.50-12.75 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Intelsat is also authorized to conduct
telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations using frequencies centered on 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 3947.5 MHz
and 3952.5 MHz (space-to-Earth).

Nature of Service:        Fixed Satellite Service


On July 27, 2011, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of Intelsat License LLC to modify its authority in order to
operate its C- and Ku-band space station, Intelsat 709, at the 72.1º E.L. orbital location, rather than at the 54.85º E.L. orbital location to which it
had been previously assigned. Accordingly, Intelsat is authorized to operate the Intelsat 709 space station in the 3700-4200 MHz
(space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10.95-11.20 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.70 GHz (space-to-Earth), 12.50-12.75 GHz
(Earth-to-space), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands to provide fixed-satellite service from the 72.1° E.L. orbital location.
Additionally, Intelsat is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations with the Intelsat 709 space station at the 72.1°
E.L.. orbital location using the following frequencies: 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz, 3952.5 MHz, and 3952.0 MHz (space-to-Earth), as well as
6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (Earth-to-space).

On July 27, 2011, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to XM Radio, Inc., to activate the Satellite Digital
Audio Radio Service (SDARS) communications payload of the XM-2 space station at the 115.25° W.L orbital location in the 2332.5-2345.0 MHz
band for testing purposes for a period of up to 30 days.
