Modification


PanAmSat Licensee Corporation has filed an application for modification of its Ka-band satellite authorization to permit the use of
inter-satellite links and to suspend the construction milestones applicable to two space stations until the Commission determines the
frequencies on which inter-satellite links may operate.

Modification


EarthWatch, Incorporated has filed an application for modification of its authorization to construct launch and operate two Earth
exploration-satellite service satellites, QuickBird-1 and QuickBird-2. [See File No. 85-SAT-ML-97; IBFS No.
SAT-MOD-19970528-00047.] EarthWatch seeks to modify the current authorization to change the inclination of the orbital planes
from 52 degrees for these satellites to 66 degrees for QuickBird-1 and 98 degrees for QuickBird-2. In addition, EarthWatch requests
the dates for Completion of Construction and Launch be extended to December 2000 and December 2001, respectively.
