On November 8, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of LightSquared Subsidiary LLC to modify its authorization to operate the SkyTerra-1 space station at 101.3º W.L. by extending the deadline for launch and commencement of operations from May 26, 2010, to January 31, 2011. SAT-MOD-20100412-00075 E AMSC-1 LightSquared Subsidiary LLC Modification 11/08/2010 - Grant of Authority Effective Date: 11/08/2010 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service, Mobile Satellite Service On November 8, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of LightSquared Subsidiary LLC to modify its authorization to operate the MSAT-2 space station by extending the license term for the MSAT-2 space station until December 31, 2011. The Satellite Division also granted LightSquared's application to operate MSAT-2 at the 103.3º W.L. orbital location , rather than at the 101.3º W.L. orbital location at which it had been authorized to operate. In this regard, LightSquared is authorized to use the center frequencies of 11.7005 GHz and 11.701 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.005 GHz and 14.4995 GHz (Earth-to-space) to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations necessary to drift MSAT-2 to the 103.3º W.L. orbital location and to maintain it at that location. LightSquared is also authorized to use the 1530-1544/1545-1559 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 1631.5-1645.5/1646.5-1660.5 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands for links with mobile terminals and to use the 10.75-10.95 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 13.0-13.15 GHz and 13.20-13.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands for feeder link operations from the 103.3º W.L. orbital location and during the drift to 103.3º W.L. SAT-MOD-20101001-00205 E S2119 XM Radio Inc. Modification 11/09/2010 - 03/31/2014 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 11/09/2010 Nature of Service: Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service On November 9, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of XM Radio Inc. to modify its authorization to operate the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) space station, XM-2, by authorizing XM-2 to operate as an in-orbit spare at the 115.25° W.L. orbital location. XM-2 had been authorized to operate as an in-orbit spare at the 85.217° W.L. orbital location. In addition, XM Radio is authorized to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Telecommand (TT&C) operations in the 2332.5-2345 MHz and 7025-7075 MHz frequency bands necessary to relocate the XM-2 space station to the 115.25° W.L. orbital location and to maintain the XM-2 space station at this location. On November 9, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Intelsat North America LLC, for a period of 60 days, to continue to conduct telemetry, tracking and telecommand necessary to drift its C- and Ku-band space station, Intelsat 706, to the 72.1° E.L. orbital location, and to provide Fixed-Satellite Service temporarily from that location. Intelsat is authorized to conduct TT&C using the following frequencies: 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz, 3952.5 MHz, 3952.0 MHz (space-to-Earth), and 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz (Earth-to-space). Intelsat is also authorized to provide FSS at the 72.1° E.L. orbital location temporarily in the following frequency bands: 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 10950-11200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 11450-11700 MHz (space-to-Earth), 12500-12750 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), and 14000-14500 MHz (Earth-to-space).
