The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission
reserves the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public
Notice may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions,
oppositions and other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's
rules, unless otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

Launch and Operating Authority


Satellite CD Radio, Inc. requests authority to launch and operate FM-6, a geostationary satellite, at the 115.2° W.L. orbital location to provide
satellite digital audio radio services (SDARS) to subscribers in the United States. The FM-6 satellite will operate service links (space-to-Earth) in
the 2320.0-2332.5 MHz frequency band. Feederlinks for the FM-5 satellite will operate in the 7025-7075 MHz frequency band (Earth-to-space)
in the fixed-satellite service. Telemetry, tracking, & telecommand (TT&C) operations will take place in both the 2320.0-2332.5 MHz and
7025-7075 MHz frequency bands.

SES Americom, Inc. (doing business as SES WORLD SKIES) requests authority to move its fixed-satellite space station, AMC-2, from its
current location of 101 W.L. orbital location to the 78.95 W.L. orbital location and, once at the 78.95 W.L. location, to operate both tracking,
telemetry, and command, and communications payloads, from the 78.95 W.L. location. SES Americom seeks to operate AMC-2 at 78.95 WL in
the 3700-4200 MHz and 11.7-12.2 GHz frequency bands (space-to-Earth) and in the 5925-6425 MHz and 14.0-14.5 GHz frequency bands
(Earth-to-space). SES Americom seeks waiver of Section 25.114(d)(3) of the Commission's rules in connection with its request.
