Nature of Service:       Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service


On February 4, 2010, the Satellite Division extended, with conditions, the license term of the authorization of Satellite CD Radio Inc. to operate
the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) non-geostationary satellite orbit space stations, FM-1, FM-2, and FM-3 (plus a ground spare),
until February 11, 2017. Satellite CD Radio is authorized to continue to operate FM-1, FM-2, and FM-3 in the 2320-2332.5 MHz
(space-to-Earth) and 7025-7075 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands pursuant to the terms of its current authorization (IBFS File No.
SAT-MOD-19981211-00099, granted March 9, 2001, DA 01-639). In addition, Satellite CD Radio is authorized to use telemetry, tracking, and
control (TT&C) frequencies in the 6422-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 4196.375-4197.125 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands for operation
of these space stations, including operations necessary to place FM-1, FM-2, and FM-3 in disposal orbits as each space station reaches the end of
its useful life.

Special Temporary Authority

On February 2, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC for special temporary authority to
conduct in-orbit testing using the 18.3-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands and the 28.35-28.6 GHz, 29.25-29.5 GHz,
and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, for a period of 30 days commencing on the date that the DIRECTV 12 space station, Call
Sign S2797, arrives at the 76º W.L. orbital location.

Special Temporary Authority
Grant of Authority                                                                                                 Effective Date:     02/03/2010



On February 3, 2010, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to DISH Operating LLC for 180 days to operate
its EchoStar 1 satellite in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands from the 77.15º W.L. orbital
location on a non-harmful-interference basis.

Special Temporary Authority

On February 4, 2010, the Satellite Division granted the request of Iridium LLC for extension of special temporary authority (STA), from February
5, 2010 through February 15, 2010, to continue to test and operate its Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) in the 1.775 MHz of spectrum from
1616-1617.775 MHz. Operations shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specification specified in the previous STA
grant. See IBFS File No. SAT-STA-20100115-00011, granted January 22, 2010.
