The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission
reserves the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public
Notice may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions,
oppositions and other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's
rules, unless otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

Ka-band satellite operating in the 18.3-18.8/19.7-20.2 GHz and 28.35-28.60/29.25-29.30 GHz frequency bands. SPACEWAY 1 is currently
located at 102.885° W.L. DIRECTV requests authorization in connection with the move of SPACEWAY 1 to 102.925° W.L., and for
operations at that location with a reduced station keeping tolerance of ± 0.025°.

DISH Operating L.L.C. requests authority to cease operations at the 147.925° W.L. orbital location for more than 90 days. See 47 C.F.R.
25.161(c). DISH is authorized to operate the EchoStar 5 satellite to provide direct broadcast satellite (DBS) service from the 147.925° W.L.
orbital location using channels 1-32 in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. The EchoStar 5
satellite was recently de-orbited due to technical issues. DISH expects to restore service when the EchoStar 8 satellite (Call Sign: S2439) is
relocated to 147.925° W.L. in 2011.

Special Temporary Authority


Sirius XM Radio Inc. requests special temporary authority for a period of 180 days to operate eight new terrestrial repeaters at power levels of up
to 2000 watts equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) (average) at various locations throughout the United States. Sirius XM proposes to
operate one repeater in the 2320-2332.5 MHz band and seven repeaters in the 2332.5-2345 MHz band. Both bands are allocated for the exclusive
use of the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS).
