On June 15, 2009, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, Intelsat North America LLC’s (Intelsat’s) request for authority to construct,
launch and operate its 17/24GHz Broadcasting Satellite Service (BSS) space station, Galaxy BSS-4, at the 122.90° W.L. orbital location using the
17.3-17.8 GHz (space-to-Earth) and the 24.75-25.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, with the 17.7-17.8 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency
band limited to international service only. Intelsat’s grant is in accordance with the technical specifications in its application, the attachment to
the grant, and the Commission's rules.

Nature of Service:       Fixed Satellite Service


On June 17, 2009, the Policy Branch granted, with conditions, the request of Intelsat North America LLC to modify the authorization of its
Galaxy 26 space station in order to operate the space station at the 50.75º E.L. orbital location. Galaxy 26 is authorized to provide Fixed Satellite
Services (FSS) in the Ku-band frequencies of 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth). Telemetry, Tracking, and
Command (TT&C) operations for the space station are authorized to be conducted using frequencies in the C-band.

Special Temporary Authority

On June 12, 2009, EchoStar Satellite Operating L.L.C. was granted Special Temporary Authority for a 60-day period, perform telemetry, tracking,
and command (TT&C) operations during the relocation of the EchoStar 1 satellite from the 148º W.L. orbital location to the 77.15º W.L. orbital
location on a non-harmful-interference basis.

On June 12, 2009 EchoStar Satellite Operating L.L.C. (EchoStar) was granted special temporary authority for 180 days to operate its EchoStar 1
satellite in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands from the 77.15º W.L. orbital location on a
non-harmful-interference basis.

Special Temporary Authority
Grant of Authority                                                                                                   Effective Date:     06/18/2009



On June 18, 2009, the Policy Branch granted, with conditions, Sirius XM Radio Inc.’s request for special temporary authority for a period of 180
days to operate 25 terrestrial repeaters with an effective isotropically radiated power (EIRP) of up to 2000 watts at specified locations throughout
the United States. The repeaters will operate in the 2320-2345 MHz frequency band allocated exclusively to the use of the Satellite Digital Audio
Radio Service (SDARS).
