Modification Granted in Part / Dismissed in Part Effective Date: 09/02/2008 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On September 2, 2008, the Policy Branch granted with conditions the request of PanAmSat Licensee Corp. to modify its authorization for its Fixed-Satellite Service Galaxy 12 satellite, (call sign S2422) to operate Galaxy 12 as an in-orbit spare at the 122.9º W.L. orbital location in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 09/02/2008 PanAmSat Licensee Corp. filed for a 30 days extension for special temporary authorityn (STA), through 9/27/2008, to drift the Galaxy 12 satellite from 125.10 W.L. to 122.9 W.L. On September 2, 2008, the Policy Branch granted the associated modification application (File No. SAT-MOD-20080630-00133), and therefore, PanAmSat's request for STA is GRANTED to the extent necessary and otherwise DISMISSED as moot. On August 29, 2008, Sirius XM Radio Inc. withdrew its application for special temporary authority for 180 days to continue to operate certain terrestrial repeaters.
