Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154. SAT-LOA-20080416-00085 E S2750 Intelsat LLC Date Filed: 04/16/2008 12:35:12:80000 Launch and Operating Authority Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat) filed an application to construct, launch, and operate a Ku-band space station, Intelsat 16, at the 58.1º W.L. orbital location using the 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 11.7-12.2 GHz (Space-to-earth) frequency bands. In its application, Intelsat requests a determination that it has meet the first three milestones (Execute a binding contract for construction, Complete the Critical Design Review, and Commence construction) and that in the event a bond is imposed that the Commission reduce the bond amount from $3,000,000 by 75 percent to $750,000. SAT-AMD-20080114-00015 S2242 DIRECTV ENTERPRISES, LLC The description of the applications associated with Call Sign: S2242 contained an error. The following is the correct description of the applications associated with Call Sign: S2242 (File Nos. DIRECTV Enterprises, L.L.C. (DIRECTV) requests authority to construct, launch, and operate a 17/24 GHz Broadcasting-Satellite Service (BSS) space station at the 107° W.L. orbital location, which is an Appendix F location as set forth in the 17/24 GHz BSS Report and Order, FCC 07-76 (rel. May 4, 2007), at full power and with full interference protection. SAT-AMD-20080701-00135 S2660 Intelsat North America LLC The description of the applications associated with Call Sign: S2660 contained an error. The following is the correct description of the applications associated with Call Sign: S2660, (File Nos. SAT-AMD-20080701-00135, SAT-AMD-20080617-00125, SAT-AMD-20080114-00012, SAT-AMD-20051118-00240, SAT-LOA-20050210-00029) that were accepted for filing on Report No. SAT-00535, rel. July 3, 2008. Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat) requests authority to construct, launch, and operate a 17/24 GHz Broadcasting Satellite Service (BSS) space station at the 99.1° W.L. orbital location, which is offset 0.1° from the 99° W.L. orbital location specified in Appendix F to the 17/24 GHz Report and Order, FCC 07-76 (rel. May 4, 2007), at a reduced power and without full interference protection. (See FCC 07-76 and 07-174 for a complete explanation of the rules and policies regarding the spacing framework and interference protections adopted by the Commission). Intelsat seeks to use the 17.3-17.8 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 24.75-25.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, with the 17.7-17.8 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band limited to international service only. Intelsat also proposes to perform regular on-station telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) operations at the lower band edge of the 17.3-17.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band, and at the lower and upper band edges of the 24.75-25.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency band. Intelsat seeks a waiver of 47 C.F.R. § 25.202(g), to use the upper band edge of the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency band for emergency TT&C, and launch and early orbit phase transmissions. Intelsat also seeks a waiver of 47 C.F.R. § 25.114(b) as it pertains to information required by 47 C.F.R. §§ 25.114(c)(4)(i), 25.114(c)(4)(iii), 25.114(d)(3), 25.114(d)(5) and 25.114(c)(8). Intelsat also withdraws its request for waiver of 47 C.F.R. § 25.156(a), made in its initial application, based on the Commission's finding that Intelsat complies with the Orbit Act.
