On May 6, 2008, the Satellite Policy Branch granted with conditions special temporary authority to EchoStar Corporation authority to operate its
EchoStar 12 Direct Broadcast Satellite Service satellite over Channels 23 and 24 at the 6 1 .5º W.L. orbital location for a period of 180 days, from
April 1, 2008 to September 29, 2008, according to the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set forth in the application, the attachment to
the grant, and the Commission's rules.
