Modification

AfriSpace, Inc. (AfriSpace) requests authority to modify its license for the AfriStar-1 geostationary space station at 21 degrees east longitude.
Specifically, AfriSpace requests authority to utilize an alternate downlink beam configuration and to transmit with carriers with 1.71 megahertz
bandwidth in addition to the currently authorized 2.6 megahertz bandwidth. AfriSpace states these modifications are necessary to meet customer
demand and to accommodate the satellite’s diminishing power.
