The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission
reserves the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public
Notice may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions,
oppositions and other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's

Hughes Communications, Inc. filed an application to modify its Ka-band Fixed Satellite Service space station authorization to operate the
Spaceway 3 satellite at the 94.95 W.L. orbital location by adding ten downlink beams in the 19.7-20.2 GHz frequency band. These additional
North and South American beams will serve territory beyond the borders of the United States.

ViaSat, Inc. (ViaSat) has filed an application to modify its Ka-band Fixed Satellite Service space station authorization for the VIASAT-KA1
satellite at the 77.3°W.L. orbital location. ViaSat requests authority to use the 28.1-28.35 GHz frequency band instead of the 29.25-29.5 GHz
band in its current authorization. (SAT-LOA-20070314-00051) ViaSat proposes to use the 28.1-28.35 GHz band for gateway uplink operations
on a secondary basis.

EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation (EchoStar) has filed an application for modification of its authority to operate the EchoStar 3 direct
broadcast service (DBS) satellite at the 61.5º W.L. orbital location in the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-Space)
frequency bands. The current authorization will expire on January 27, 2008. In this application, EchoStar requests that the Commission extend
the EchoStar 3 operating authority for an additional period of ten years, to January 27, 2018.
