Nature of Service:       Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service


On December 17, 2007, the Policy Branch granted with conditions DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC's request for a modification of its license,
authorizing it to operate its Fixed-Satellite Service Ka-band space station, DIRECTV 10, at the 102.775º W.L. orbital location in the 18.3-18.8
GHz (Downlink) and 29.25-29.50/28.35-28.60 GHz (Uplink) frequency bands. This authorization is granted in accordance with the terms,
conditions, and technical specifications set forth in DIRECTV's application, the attachment to grant, and the Commission's rules.

Special Temporary Authority

Nature of Service:       Fixed Satellite Service


On December 17, 2007, the Policy Branch granted DIRECTV's request for extension of Special Temporary Authority, to the extent necessary,
subject to the terms and conditions specified in File No. SAT-STA-20070816-00115, and otherwise dismissed the request as moot. See
SAT-MOD-20070626-00086 for more information.

Special Temporary Authority
Grant of Authority                                                                                                  Effective Date:     12/19/2007



On December 19, 2007, the Policy Branch granted with conditions XM Radio Inc.'s (XM Radio) request for special temporary authority for a
period of 60 days, effective December 19, 2007. Accordingly, XM Radio is authorized to operate telemetry, tracking, and command of the XM-2
satellite at the 85.2° W.L. orbital location subject to the technical specifications set forth in its application, the Commission's rules, and the
attachment to grant.

Special Temporary Authority

On December 12, 2007, the Satellite Division granted special temporary authority to Sirius Satellite Radio, Inc. to operate an indoor terrestrial
repeater with a power level of up to 200 watts EIRP, and up to five very low power indoor terrestrial repeaters with an EIRP of up to .0001 watts,
from January 5, 2008 to January 10, 2008, in Las Vegas, NV, at the location and with the technical parameters set forth in its application and
subject to conditions.

The Bureau has determined that SES Americom, Inc. has met the Commence Construction milestone associated with this authorization and
may reduce the bond amount by $750,000 as provided in the Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies,
First Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, IB Docket No. 02-34, 18 FCC Rcd 10760 (2003); Amendment of the
Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Order on Reconsideration and Fifth Report and Order, IB Docket No.
02-34, 19 FCC Rcd 12637 (2004).


SAT-MOD-20060901-00093                 S2663           Hughes Communications, Inc.
The Bureau has determined that Hughes Communications, Inc. has met the milestone associated with this authorization to Launch and
Operation milestone. The Bureau previously determined Hughes Communications, Inc. had meet the first 3 milestones. See Public Notice
Report No. SAT-00375, DA 06-1412, released July 7, 2006. Consequently, Hughes Communications, Inc. may release the bond associated
with this authorization as provided in the Amendment of the Commission's Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Report and
Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, IB Docket No. 02-34, 18 FCC Rcd 10760 (2003); Amendment of the Commission's
Space Station Licensing Rules and Policies, First Order on Reconsideration and Fifth Report and Order, IB Docket No. 02-34, 19 FCC Rcd
12637 (2004).
